He wins the Battle of Munda. He allots land to his veterans, distributes money to his supporters and the plebs.
What reforms did Caesar pass to improve Rome / the Roman empire?
The Julian Calendar. He also increases the number of magistrates, cuts the corn dole, increases the size of the senate, filling it with his own supporters.

Fear that kingship was being imposed upon Rome, and that it was the end of the Republic.
