These 7 elements…

-(H, N, O, F, Cl, Br, and I) are called DIATOMIC ELEMENTS because, as pure elements, they form molecules containing two atoms
-For the usual elements there’s only one atom but the atoms in the diatomic elements always come in pairs.
-They aren’t classified as molecules even though there’s more than one atom
-And like say you made H20
Technically there would be two oxygen atoms and four hydrogen ones since they come in pairs
