How do you diagram “unless”?

A

Whatever immediately follows “unless” becomes the necessary condition. The rest of the statement becomes negated and then becomes the sufficient condition.

Example : “I’m not going to succeed in the LSAT unless I study hard” would be diagrammed as:

How do you diagram “no” or “none”?

A

What immediately follows ‘none’ becomes the sufficient. The rest of the statement becomes negated and then becomes the necessary condition.

Example: “None of the alligators are purple” or “No alligators are purple”

Alligator–> /purple
