CT of HCC
A
- Liver cirrhosis
- Ascites (Hypodense fluid around liver)
- Varices
- Solitary hypervascular mass
- Tumour rupture (blood denser than ascites fluid)

Angiography of HCC
A
- Tumour take up hepatic artery blood
- Can be Therapeutic —> TACE

USG of cholecystitis
A
- Gallstones (fall to dependent areas)
- ***Positive sonographic Murphy’s sign
- ***Gallbladder wall >3mm (edematous + thickened)
- ***Gallbladder distension
- ***Pericholecystic fluid
- Impacted gallstone
Complications:
1. ***Emphysematous cholecystitis (gas forming in gallbladder)

CT of acute pancreatitis
A
- Fluid around pancreas
- Edematous pancreas
Causes of pancreatitis (GET SMASHED):
- Gallstones
- Ethanol
- Trauma
- Steroid
- Mumps
- Autoimmune
- Scorpion venom
- Hyperlipidaemia
- ERCP
- Drugs
Role of imaging in pancreatitis:
- Assessment + Staging of pancreatitis
- Assessment of complications:
- Necrosis (hypodense dead pancreas, many holes)
- Pseudocysts
- Infection / Abscess
- Pseudoaneurysm / Thrombosis (hyperdense lesion)
- Fistula
