What was used during WW1
X-ray machine used to locate objects stuck in the body - before object could only be removed through surgery
What was the positive impacts of x-rays
Surgeons made more precise surgeries and prevented patient from unnecessary blood loss/infection

Endoscopic ultrasound - inserted into the body - used on stomach
CT and MRI scans
1970s - CT scan - combined multiple x-rays views internal organs and detects tumours
