Avoid walking barefoot and wear comfotabel well fitted shoes
Good blood sugar control
BP control

including heart disease, kidney disease and diabetic eye problems

Cause of diabetic neuropathy
high blood glucose (sugar) levels can damage the small blood vessels that supply the nerves in your body. This stops essential nutrients reaching the nerves. As a result, the nerve fibres can become damaged, and they may disappear.
What is charcot foot
Injuries/broken bones cnat feel, continue walking on them -> change shape. Once mishapen affects other joints and greater risk of foot ulcer
Symptoms of charcot foot
swelling
warmth – the affected foot feels warmer than the other
change in foot colour
change in foot shape.
