Asymptomatic
Pain - peripheral (burning, shootin)
Unaware of pain
Loss of sensation peripherally (numb)
Tingling
Unabel to detect changes in temp
Unaware of joint position and therefore cant coordinate movement
Falls, problems working, using hands, muscle twitch and cramps

Cause of diabetic neuropathy

A

high blood glucose (sugar) levels can damage the small blood vessels that supply the nerves in your body. This stops essential nutrients reaching the nerves. As a result, the nerve fibres can become damaged, and they may disappear.
