Classify diabetic foot ulcer grades.

A

Wagner classification
• Grade 0: intact skin
• Grade 1 : superficial ulcer of skin or subcutaneous tissue
• Grade 2: ulcers extend into tendon, bone or capsule
• grade 3: deep ulcer with osteomyelitis or abscess
• grade 4: partial foot gangrene
• grade 5 : Whole foot gangrene

Describe the Wifi classification system for diabetic foot

A

Wound
• grade 0: no ulcer no gangrene.
• grade 1 : small ulcer., no gangrene
• grade 2: deep ulcer and gangrene limited to toes
• grade 3: extensive ulcer or gangrene

Ischemia: toe pressure
• 0:>60 mm hg
• 1:40-59
• 2:30-39
• 3:<30

Foot infection
• 0: non-infected
• 1: mild (<2cm cellulitis)
• 2: moderate ( >2 cellulitis or purulence)
• 3: severe (systematic response, sepsis)
