Give desmopressin (synthetic ADH): •if cranial then urine conc. increases •if nephogenic the no change in urine conc.

2 types of diabetes insipidus
A
- Cranial: decreased ADH secretion
2. Nephrogenic: decreased kidney sensitivity to ADH
