Observation
Oral glucose test:
-Give glucose then measure serum conc. at regular intervals
-Very little change due to actions of the excess GH

Pathogenesis
A
Excess GH secretion
Mostly due to benign pituitary adenoma
Causes bone/tissue growth
Also metabolic complications
