Venous irritation

Dextrose Contraindications
A
None in emergency setting with Hypoglycemia

Dextrose Precautions
A
- Can cause severe tissue necrosis with IV infiltration
- Use caution in pts with suspected hemorrhagic stroke
- Consider administrating thiamine prior to administering dextrose
