What is a delinquent subculture ?
A
- refers to youth deviance
- involved in joy-riding and vandalism
- ant-social behaviour but isn’t criminal

What is criminal subculture ?
A
- actively involved in crime
- organised crime e.g drug dealing
- not everyone has access

What are gangs ?
A
- young people who regularly associate
- term used by media and police for people who cause harm to the community
- often violent
- have names, territory, rules and leaders
- not all delinquent and criminal subcultures are gangs

What are anti-school subcultures ?
A
- people who reject norms and values at school
- see it as a bad thing to do well and follow rules
- some pupils may be anti-school however stil pro-education

What are newer/ emerging subcultures ?
A
- deviant subcultures are continually emerging
- internet develops subcultures
- online communities have emerged

A
