Rett’s syndrome
presents at age 4 (NORMAL up to this point) then regress
loss of social, verbal, and cognitive skills
hand wringing, ataxia, low IQ
Tourette
fairly common
mean age of onset 6-7yrs, seen as early s 2yrs

lifelong or resolve w/ adulthood
Motor and Vocal tics (DA in caudate)
chronic motor or vocal tic disorder
either motor or vocal but not both
Transient tic disorder
single or multiple motor or vocal for no longer than 12 mo
same features as TD, but no longer than 12mo
separation anxiety disorder
4% of school age kids
fear of loss or major attachment
complain of physical sx so they don’t have to leave their mother
