Q

assess how far learning theories have developed over time

has developed

A

P - our understanding of SLT has developed
E - Bandura developed two additional experiments in ‘63 and ‘65 to test the effects of filmed models and vicarious reinforcement, finding that all modelled aggression, whether live or filmed, increases the likelihood of aggression
T - we have furthered our understanding of how models in TV and film influence behaviour

Q

assess how far social psychology has developed over time

hasn’t developed

A

P - not developed if social behaviour is still researched in artificial ways

E - Burger still tested for obedience to an unethical request in an artificial lab setting (e.g. shocking a learner for wrong answer) and despite attempting to deceive p’s into behjaving naturally, would still lack ecological validity

T - research on obedience may still lack application to everyday life
