A

longitudinal study of 60 newborns. WC mums in Glasgow, mum and babies were visited every month until 1 year thrn again at 18 months at each visit mothers reported if infant had response to separation in 7 days. also asked to look at the intensity of any protest, rate on scale of 4

unreliable data - it was based on mothers reports, some mothers might have been less sensitive to infants protests (crying) so less likely report them. change validity
