A
  1. Newborn = Limbs flexed, symmetrical posture
    Marked head lag on pulling up
  2. 6-8 weeks = raises head in 45 degrees in prone
    position
  3. 6-8 months = sits without support, rolls
  4. 8-9 months = crawling
  5. 10 months = cruises around furniturw
  6. 12 months = walking unsteadily
  7. 15 months = walks steadily
  8. 24 months = walks up steps
  9. 36 months = jumps

A
  1. 6 weeks = follows moving object by turning head
  2. 4 months = reaches out for toys
  3. 4-6 months = palmar grasp

  7. 18 months - 3 blocks stacked

A
  1. Newborn - startles to loud noises
  2. 3-4 months - vocalises, alone or when spoken to, coos and laughs
  3. 7 months - turns to soft sounds out of sight
  4. 7-10 months - at 10 months sounds used discriminately to parents ( ‘dada’ or ‘mama’)
  5. 12 months - two or 3 words other than dada or mam
  6. 18 months - 6-10 words, points out two parts of the body
  7. 20-24 months - uses simple phrases ‘give me teddy bitch’
  8. 30 -36 months - talks constantly in 3-4 word sentences

What are the hearing milestones in the first year of life?

A

after birth - startles and blinks at sudden noise
1 month - notices sudden prolonged sounds (vacuum)
4 months- quietens or smiles to the sound of parents voice even when out of sight. might turn head towards you
7 months- turns immediately to your voice across the room
9 months - listen attentively to familiar everyday noises and searches for very quiet sounds made out of sight
12 months - shows some response to own name and other familiar words. may respond to no and bye-bye
