A
Development refers to the standard of living in different countries around the world

Social, infant morality, health - calorie intake, education - literacy

They only became rich in the last 50 years or so, so the development line doesn’t fit anymore!

What measures the development of a country
A
The HDI (human development index).
It combines social and economic indicators to give the best way of measuring a countries development.
