What is GDP per capita?

A

GDP per person, GDP divided by population. It gives a rough Idea of how wealthy a country is but if used alone can be inaccurate as inequality can be high in some countries.

A

HDI ranks countries in relation to several aspects of development such as Income (GDP per capita), Life expectancy (health) and education (The average years of schooling).
