Q

Mencion the 1st criticism of Pales argument.

A

We don’t know any thing about watchmaking we cant say that it was design or has a designer. If we have never had any experience we cant say that, unless we have had experience we can say wether or not the universe was designed.

Q

Swinbune 1st response.

A

There are 2 types of order in nature:
- Spatial: all the arrangement of the objects. (Paleys talks about this order, also darwinism).
Natural selection can explain this.
- Temporal: the laws of nature, science cant explain them. So there has to be a designer disembodied.

Q

A

If natural selection is the method God used to bring the moral to humans, we cannot rationally infer that a moral being used a brutal method and seemingly amoral to bring out morality.
