Was Sahara always a desert
Sahara desert once used to be a lush green plain. Cave paintings found in Sahara show is that there used to be crocodiles , lions, sheep , goat , giraffes etc.

Explain the climate of Sahara desert
It is scorching hot. Short rainy season. Clear and cloudless sky. Moisture evaporats quickly. The sand and rocks heat up. This radiates heat making everything around hot. The nights are freezing cold.

The altitude in ladakh is 3000 m . In KARGIL more then 8000m . This is why the climate is very cold and dry. The altitude is so thin that the heat of the sun can be felt . There is very little rainfall. It experiences freezing cold winds and hot sunlight
