Describe two characteristics of an effective team - mutually supportive team 1
A characteristic of an effective team is a mutually supportive team. A mutually supportive team is one that has an understanding of each other’s strengths and weaknesses, and one where the Project Manager puts team members in the best position to succeed, based on their strengths and weaknesses.

A team that supports each other in this way will be more efficient and team members will have better relationships with one another, meaning that conflict is less likely. Teams that operate in this way are more likely to produce quality work.
Describe two characteristics of an effective team - effective communication
Effective communication is another characteristic of an effective team. As a team develops in maturity (i.e. Tukmans’s Development Stages), relationships develop and communication becomes more open. For example, a team that has worked on multiple projects together will have open lines of communication between themselves and their Project Manager. This will mean that any issues which arise can be aired out and discussed before the issues turn into full-blown conflicts. This can result in the project running smoothly and not being held up by time-consuming conflicts.
