Raised CK
ANA positive
anti-synthetase antibodies
- Jo-1, SRP, anti-Mi2
What antibodies would be positive
Anti Mi2
Anti Jo1
Important screening if dermatomyositis confirmed
Malignancy screening e.g. ovarian, breast, lung
Difference with dermatomyositis and polymyositis
Polymyositis does not exhibit skin changes, but still linked to malignancy
Management
Steroids
