Hypersensitivity, patients with known seizure disorders, Norwegian (crusted) scabies

Side Effects
CNS: tremors, SEIZURES, CNS TOXICITY, stimulation, dizziness (Chronic inhalation of vapors), anxiety, insomnia
CV: VENTRICULAR FIBRILLATION (chronic inhalation of vapors)
GI: Nausea, Vomiting, Diarrhea, liver damage (inhalation of vapors)
GU: KIDNEY DAMAGE (chronic inhalation of vapors)
HEMA: APLASTIC ANEMIA (chronic inhalation of vapors), MYELOSUPPRESSION
INTEG: Pruritus, Rash, Irritation, Contact Dermatitis

Nursing Considerations
ASSESS:
- Skin for abrasions, breaks, inflammation; don not use on these areas
- INFESTATION: head, hair for lice, nits before and after treatment; if scabies present, check all skin surfaces; identify source of infection: school, family, sexual contacts
PERFORM/PROVIDE:
- Isolation until areas on skin, scalp have cleared, treatment completed
- Removal of nits with fine-toothed comb rinsed in vinegar after treatment; use gloves
