Depuis - Three things to note

A
  1. Used for something that began in the past and continues into the future.
  2. Indicates a period of time
  3. Is used with a PRESENT verb, NOT A PAST verb.
  4. OR the IMPERFECT if the action described is interrupted.

Ex. Il dormait depuis trois heures quend je suis arrive
He had been sleeping for two hours when I arrived.
