What is a Mac Mini?
A small, monitor-less computer
Do we give instructors keys to the rooms?

If you want to connect a laptop to the podium, what are the steps?
Plug VGA into the laptop, plug in the audio cable, then select “Laptop” on podium
Explain the Extend, Duplicate, Computer Only, Projector Only settings, and how do you
get there?
Find in the Control Panel under Display.
Our DVD machines only play Region ____ DVDs. Explain what this is
A region code is a code embedded into DVDs and BluRay that represent locations. Region 1 is US, Region 0 means no code has been embedded.
Where is the power button on mac mini (for restarting it)?
External power button on the back right side.
When should you power cycle the podium
Only if you’ve tried everything else
What is the common problem when a laptop is connected to the podium but sound is not
coming out?
Audio plug might not be plugged in, or the volume might be down
Explain Pic Mute, Audio Mute, and Auto Image.
Pic Mute: Projector just shows blue screen, not computer
Audio Mute: Sound does not come out of projector
Auto Image: Doesn’t do anything
What is the solution when a wireless mouse/keyboard is not responding?
Make sure that it’s on, check Bluetooth connection, check battery
What information do you need to record when going on a departmental call?
Name, email address/phone number. Remember as many details about issue as possible
Will other buttons work when the “Display On” button is flashing?
No
How should you be contacting your opco if you don’t know what else to do?
Flip phone or iPad
Explain the difference between the black power switch on the right and the green one
on the left.
Green Button: input/output control anything in or out of podium.
Black Button: ON/OFF for podium
