Q

Explain how deposition is caused by waves (2).

When is material dropped by waves and how is this condition met

A
  1. Material is dropped by waves when they lose energy.
  2. Waves can lose energy by swash, rolling up a beach, or where a river estuary causes a disruption to the normal movement of material along the coast, which causes a build-up of deposition.
