Code A
Request arson investigator. Any request for a code A is an indication that a fire investigator is needed immediately. Certain cities require that PD also be notified.
Code C
Possible child or elder abuse. Notify the sheriff or jurisdictional police agency of the immediate need for a unit to investigate possible child or elder abuse.
Code D
Request an investigator for the determination of the cause of a fire when arson is not suspected.
Code E
Escape of an inmate from a department camp or camp crew. Obtain the “Inmate ID Number” if possible. Notify law-enforcement immediately.
Code F
Any civilian or fire fighter critically or fatally injured in a fire, any fatality occurring without a fire or any critically burned victim that is hospitalized.
Code I
Any injury or illness to a member of the department.
Code N
Request media notifications.
Code T
Indicate the possibility of a terrorist related incident.
Code Red
This code is used at Command & Control and means to return to dispatch.
