Automatic Aid
[AA] Outside agency requests multiple resources or units other than an engine, squad or truck. This includes requests for air squads.
Automatic Aid Engine
[AAE] Outside agency requests an engine for automatic aid.
Automatic Aid Squad
[AAS] Outside agency requests a squad or a ALS unit for automatic aid.
Automatic Aid Truck
[AAT] Outside agency requests a truck for automatic aid.
Abdominal Pain BLS
[ABDB] Left or right flank/side pain, epigastric pain (upper, middle abdomen) , mid abdomen pain, supra pubic, or groin pain.
Agricultural Burn
[AGBURN] Specialized burn for agricultural industry. Expires at 1600 on specified date.
Aircraft Emergency [ALERT1]
Airport tower will advise ALERT1. Represents a warning light or minor aircraft difficulty in the air.
Aircraft Emergency [ALERT2]
Airport tower will advise ALERT2. Represents a declared aircraft emergency in the air.
Aircraft Crash or Imminent Crash [ALERT3]
Airport tower will advise ALERT3. Represents an aircraft crash, eminent crash or fire on a grounded aircraft.
Aircraft emergency over water
[ALERTW] LAX tower will advise LA via crash phone. Enter location as LAX-COAST.
Fire Alarm
[ALRA] Monitoring alarm company reports heat or smoke detection alarm at a commercial business, including hospital.
Fire Alarm with Reset
[ALRAR] Monitoring alarm company reports heat or smoke detection alarm at a commercial business with a reset or restore.
Carbon Monoxide Alarm
[ALRCO] Monitoring alarm company or premise reports carbon monoxide detection alarm. If person or persons feeling ill, change to appropriate cold type.
Medical Alarm
[ALREMS] Monitoring Company reports medical alarm activation without any additional information that would warrant a more specific call type. If additional information on the patient’s condition is provided, type code according to the primary problem reported.
Manual Pull Alarm
[ALRMAN] Manual pull alarm reported by premise or monitoring company. Indicate reset or restore in text. Example schools.
Residential Fire Alarm
[ALRR] Monitoring company reports residential heat or smoke detector alarm. Indicate reset or restore in text. No specific hole type for reset.
Water Flow Alarm
[ALRWF] Monitoring company reports water flow alarm activation.
Waterflow Alarm with Reset
[ALRWFR] Monitoring company reports water flow alarm activation with a reset or restore.
Cardiac/Respiratory Arrest
[ARREST] Person in cardiac and/or respiratory arrest. Get law-enforcement.
Boat Fire
[BOAT] Water craft fire on the water. Specify lake or ocean.
Bridge Fire
[BRIDGE] Bridge fire as reported.
Brush Fire
[BRUSH] Brush fire as reported and designated brush areas. Verify with SFD, supervisor, if necessary.
Brushfire on Catalina
[CATLNA] Brushfire as reported on Catalina island. Verify with supervisor if necessary. U.S. Navy responds with hovercraft to transport apparatus and personnel.
Technical Rescue on Catalina
Technical rescue on Catalina island. Helicopter will respond to fly in the USAR task force.
Cliff Rescue
[CLIFF] Rescue of person from a Clift, canyon, or mountain side greater in distance than 100 feet. Requires USAR.
Coast Rescue
[COAST] Rescue of a person from an ocean bluff or cliff with a response from lifeguards and possibly US Coast Guard. Requires a USAR.
Collapsed Building, Structure or Trench
[COLLAP] Technical rescue due to a collapsed building, structure, trench, or mine. Requires USAR and requires hazmat.
Confined Space Rescue
[CONFIN] technical rescue in a space not meant for human habitations where no collapse has occurred. May be used for small scale wall or roof collapse. Requires USAR and requires hazmat.
Train Derailment
[DERAIL] Train derailment as reported.
Deep Water Rescue
[DIVE] Drowning, diving, or scuba incident in a deep, coastal, or offshore area. Example ocean response.
Lake or Waterway Rescue
[DIVEW] deep water rescue involving a lake or waterway, includes aqueduct. Not in the ocean.
Dock, wharf, or pier fire
[DOCK] Dock, wharf, pier, or slip fire (boat dock).
