It is based on logic and reason
What is deontology?
It is a theory based on actions not consequences
What is a priori statement?
A statement which is knowable without reference to any experience
What is a posteriori statement?
A statement which is knowable after experience
What is the hypothetical imperative?
These aren’t moral commands to the will, they don’t apply to everyone, you only have to obey them to achieve a certain goal. A hypothetical imperative always starts with the word ‘if’
What is the categorical imperative?
These are moral commands, they tell people what to do and do not depend on anything especially desires or goals
