Q

disadvantage of deontology

A

peter singer - lacks emotivism
“closed system” - people do not inquire into the reason for their actions which makes them dangerous
takes away their humanity
An alternative is prima facies duties by ross

Lacks flexibility- makes it rigid and hard to alter
Deontology might not be able to achieve the moral principles set and stop us from doing ACTUAL good
