What are General duties of employers to their employees?
A
- Provide safe working systems and machinery
- Eliminate or mitigate any potential hazards in the workplace
- Provide information, instruction and training.
- Not allow any one to perform work unless the precautionary measures have
been taken to render the work safe. - Take steps to ensure that the requirements of the Act are complied with, and enforce these measures
- Ensure work is done under the supervision of a competent person
- Inform employees of the scope of their authority

What are the general duties of employees at work?
A
- take care for the health and safety of himself and of other persons who may be affected by his
acts - Co-operate with his employer or any other person that has been given a duty so that the duty can be performed
- Carry out any order given to him and obey the health and safety rules.
- Report any situation that is unsafe or unhealthy to his employer or to the health and safety representative.
- If he is involved in any incident which may affect his health or which has caused an injury to himself, he must report such an incident to his employer.
