What are the four types of teeth?
Incisors, canines, pre-molars and molars
What does the incisors do?
Incisors cut (like scissors)
What does canines do?
Canines tear apart food
What does pre-molars do?
Pre-molars crush and tear food
What does molars do?
Molars chew and grind food
What is enamel?
Enamel is the top, white part of the tooth
What is dentin?
Dentin is the yellow part of the tooth
What is pulp?
Something inside the dentin
What is gum?
The thing that holds the tooth in place
What does herbivores eat and what type of teeth do they have most?
Herbivores eat plants and they have many broad molars for grinding plant materials
What does carnivores eat and what type of teeth do they have most?
Carnivores eat meat and they have a lot of canines for ripping and tearing their food.
What does omnivores eat and what type of teeth do they have most?
Omnivores eat both plant and meat and they also have a mixture of both canines and molars
How many incisors does adult teeth have?
8, 4 on the top, 4 on the bottom
How many canines does adult teeth have?
4, 2 on the top, 2 on the bottom
How many pre-molars does adult teeth have?
8, 4 on top, 4 on the bottom
