Q

How do you find the density of a solid object?

A
  • Use balance to measure mass
  • Put it in eureka can filled with water
  • Water displaced will transfer to measuring cylinder
  • Record volume
  • Use formula

Q

How do you find the density of a liquid object?

A
  • Measuring cylinder on balance and measure zero
  • Pour 10ml into cylinder and record mass
  • Pour another 10ml into cylinder and record total volume and mass
  • Repeat till cylinder is full
  • For each measurement, use formula
  • Take average
