  • public services - higher demand for healthcare services including long-term care and medical assistance, strain of the health systems.
  • one-person pensioner households - may rely on a fixed pension income
  • the dependancy ratio - ratio of dependants to the working age tend to rise. Working generation contributing to the economy while a larger proportion relies on them for support.
