Democratic and Republican parties Flashcards
what are factions
groups within a political party which take different views on some issues. They try to influence party policy. Their popularity ebbs and flows. They reflect divisions in parties. However, more recently, parties have a much narrower ideology than 40 years ago. There is more in party cooperation and less division.
