  • MP’s do not ned to attend debates if not ‘whipped’

  • Part of legislative process & involves 15-20 MP’s looking at legislation
  • Committees can make recommendations to gvmt but gvmt not need to take on board

  • We have bi-cameral parliament
  • Lords can look at laws from national interest rather than career
  • Can knock back legislation (Rwanda bill 6x) but only can delay cannot block

  • Working class vote labour in past due to distribution of wealth policies however figures show no longer the case
  • John Curtice - Bond between labour & wc badly strained

  • Jeremy Corbyn was against traditional labour stances therefore PG ‘Momentum’ more likely to be listened to than current Labour leader Keir Starmer
