Behavious and psychological symptoms of dementia (BPSD) - eg. psychosis, pacing, shouting, sexual disinhibition, aggression
Neurological symps - eg. seizure (10-20%)

early memory loss, gradual onset and progression

focal neurology, evidence of cerebrovascular disease, may be stepwise progression

features of both alzheimers and vasc dementia
Why are antipsychotics contraindicated in Lew Body dementia
can cause parkinsonian reaction

fluctuating cognition, visual hallucinations, parkinsonism

change in behaviour and conduct, dietary chnages, emotional blunting, prominent language probelms

deposition of lewy bodies - alpha synuclein - in neurons
mild cognitive impairment defintion
impairment on standardised test but no functional impact
sunjective cognitive impairment defintion
no deficit on standardised test but complains of congitive problems
