Q

What is a GWAS? Give an example

A

Genome wide association study

  • Many different genomes to work out which genes do what
  • Tests if any particular traits are associated with a particular genetic variant

International Hapmap Project- to develop a haplotype map of the human genome to describe patterns of genetic variation such as skin colour.
