Where you hold your body in an upright position whilst sitting or standing

- to improve a dancers balance and to have more control

- completing exercises to strengthen muscles and give the dancer more flexibility
- practicing even outside the dance studio, whether that’s eating dinner, or sitting in class.

* systematic repetition (repeating something in an arranged way)
