CBRS Device which can transmit in the CBRS band after receiving authorization from a SAS. eNodeB, Cell phone base station
CPI
Person who verifies the installation paramters of CBSD and proved them to a SAS.
End User Device
Device which talks to a CBSD. Cell phone, data dongle
Domain Proxy
Device that aggregates communications from multiple CBSDs to a single SAS, sometimes for legacy radio equipment.
Environmental Sensing Capability
Senor deployed along the coast to detect incumbent radar activity
Federal Communications Commission
Regulatory agency defining high-level rules
Wireless Innovation Forum WInnForum
Defining requirements and protocols for use in CBRS.
CBRS Alliance
Group supporting LTE and future 5G-specific interests in CBRS. Administer the OnGo certification program
FCC ID
Combination of letters and numbers that uniquely identifies the model of the device.
Varies by devices: User manual, Sticker on device, Owner of CBSD, or CBSD’s software
Equipment Manufacturer
Obtain authorization from the FCC to use the device in the CBRS band.
Ensures that the device complies with all applicable regulations and standards.
Network Owner
Plan network deployments.
Select a SAS vendor
Purchase and physically install equipment
CPI Employer
Check CPI has obtained certification before assigning CPI responsibilities
CPI Training Program Admin (TPA)
Trains CPIs
Communication relevant rule and specification changes to CPIs
Investigate reports of CPI errors
