have knowledge & u.standing of computers and their use (ADD EXAMPLE)
**informations literacy:
find, analyse, use + communicate info .i.a.w ability to gather info from multiple sources + select relevant info & organise it so users make decisions e.g search google, get NB facts + use in ur tasks (ADD EXAMPLE)
**Integrated literacy:
ability to match and use technology to learning devices e.g computer, tablet, ipad, smartphone (ADD EXAMPLE)
Media Literacy:
create, develop, communicate inf in all forms ( music videos, web environments)
Statistical Literacy:
think critically about basic descriptive statistics (analyse, interpret & evaluate)
Data Literacy:
view, manipulate, analyse & interpret data

attention, relevance, challenge, satisfaction
Data:
collection of unorganised facts
Information:
data that is organised, that is useful
Input:
data that is entered into the computer
Output:
processed results
Storage:
computer holds data for future use
Information processing system:
input, process, output, storage
Hardware:
electronic and mechanical equipment
Software:
series of instuctions that tells the software how to perform
Digitial Media:
technologies that allow us to express, entertain + communication in a digital form
Internet:
global network of computers that contain information on a multitude of subjects
LAN:
Local Area Network: network covers geographical area .eg. building (number computers connected to server)
WLAN:
Wireless Lan: uses radio waves instead of wires
WAN:
Wide Area Network: covers large geographical region e.g city (telephone lines, satellite, wireless systems etc.)
WPAN:
Wireless Personal Area Network: short range of wireless network often based on Bluetooth technology that uses short-range radio waves -> transmit data between two Bluetooth devices
WWAN:
Wireless Wide Area NEwrok: wireless network covers a wide geopgraphical area using radio, satellite, cellphones etc
ISP:
Internet Service Provider: business provides internet service
OSP:
Online service provider: provides access to the internet plus online services such as news, weather, games etc. (AOL, MSN)
