Includes adults of both sexes, at least 2 of whom maintain a socially approved sexual relationship, and one or more children (own/adopted) of sexually co-habiting adults

Key components of family
A
- Families live together
- They won’t together and pool their resources
- They reproduce
- Include an adult male and female who have a sexual relationship which is approved of wider society
- Heterosexual couple have at least at least one child-biological/adopted

A person living alone or a group of people living together and sharing communally
May or may not be related to one another
