o Skin pigmentations and nipples should be avoided to prevent burns.

• Can contact be made between the defibrillation pads and/or ECG electrodes or cables?

o No, no contact should be made between defibrillation pads. Nor should defibrillation pads be placed over ECG electrodes or cables.

• Should chest compressions be performed over defibrillation pads or wires?

o No, chest compressions should not be performed over defibrillation pads or wires, however, this does not include CPR feedback devices.

• If defibrillation pads are not adequately adhering to patients, should defibrillation occur?

o No, if pads are not adequately adhering to patient’s defibrillation should not occur.
