Any individual/groups/ or any acts or anything like to cause harm or that have the potential to hinder police in the performance of their duties.

Potential for harm, physical or otherwise to people or the security of places or things. Exposure can be mitigated through assessment and planning.

Explanation: Willingly responds when approached
Suggested responses:
Officer presence and tactical communication
Passive Resistant
Explanation: Refuses verbally or with physical inactivity.
Suggested Response: Mechanical restraints eg handcuffing, empty hand techniques eg physical restraints.
Active Resistant
Explanation: pulls away, pushes away or runs away
Suggested: OC Spray
Assaultive
Explanation: intent to cause harm, expressed verbally as threats, through body language/physical action or violence.
Suggested: Baton, taser, dogs, weapons of opportunity

Perceived Cumulative Assessment
It is your subjective assessment based on situation and subjects behaviour on which appointment to use and how much force
AWOCA
A - Ask
W - Explain why (reason for action)
O - Provide options (good/bad)
C - confirm they understand that they need to comply
A - Act, if communication has failed
GBH or Death
Shows action that would cause GBH or death. EG firearms and other force with serious implications
