Elevation of the highest point of the landing area

Altitude

Height AGL of clouds covering more than 1/5 of the sky (BKN/OVC) < 20000t
Control Area
Airspace extening upwards from a speicified under limit
Control zone
Airspace extening upwards from the ground to a specified upper limit
Estimated time of arrival
IFR: point where approach procedure will be commenced
VFR: aircraft will arrive over the aerodrome
Expected approach time
Following a delay will leave the holding fix
Height
Altitude from specific datum (mostly AGL)
Hot spot
Position on movement area with collision risk
Initital approach segment
Segment of instrument approach between IAF and intermediate approach fix
Threshold
The beginning of that portion of the runway usable for landing
Transition altitude
At or below the altitude where normal altitidues are used (on climb)
Transition layer
Airspace between TA and TL
