Deep Diving Late Departures Flashcards
1
Q
Late Departure, wha is it?
A
A load will typically be considered ‘late’ if it has departed 30 minutes past the SDT, with few exceptions.
2
Q
‘Local Carrier’ managed lane?
A
Only loads departing 30 minutes past CPT will be considered late.
-All local loads have 30 mins to depart regardless of check-in. This is because they don’t have a long distance road inspection.

Q
If a truck arrives late to the FC, what are the two possible results?
A
- If the truck arrives after scheduled arrival time (SAT), but before SDT/CPT, the FC will have 30 minutes to depart the truck plus the number of minutes the driver was late.
- If the truck arrives after SDT/CPT, the FC will have 30 minutes plus the difference between scheduled arrival time (SAT) and CPT/SDT to depart.

Q
For the two scenarios that pertain to trucks that arrive late, what additional time do PUP trailers have?
A
8 minutes is given to depart a set of pups, due to the additional time needed to assemble.
