How do you identify whether an argument is valid or not?
A
- Validity: when all of the premises are hypothetically true, meaning the conclusion would also have to be true as well
- In other words, there are no scenarios that would disprove any premise of the argument

How do you identify whether an argument is sound or not?
A
- Soundness: when an argument is both valid and contains premises that are actually true
- Certify validity first and then factuality

How do you identify an implicit premise?
A
Take the information given to you and brainstorm any information that might be missing in order to make the argument valid
