When dealing with suspects there are four basic options open to you, what are these?

- Take no action
- Warn the suspect / offender
- Report the matter
- Arrest the suspect / offender

What must you consider in deciding whether or not to warn?
A
The severity of the offence The views of the victim The demeanour of the offender The previous history of the offender Current police procedures and policies

Why would you arrest? List some examples of WEEP that would be considered?
A
Examples: To stop the offence, offence is of a serious nature, address is unknown, declines to give details, CADD, prevent absconding, following departmental guidelines.
