DCH8 (Q200): Electrical Flashcards
DCH8: Electrical
What does this switch do?
It connects the MAIN BATT and AUX BATT to both Essential Buses.
(DC Power Side)
DCH8: Electrical
What does this switch do?
It connects the MAIN BATT to the R. Main Buses.
(DC Power Side)
DCH8: Electrical
What does this switch do?
It connects the AUX BATT to the “Charging” circuit from the L. Main Buses to allow the Aux Battery to recharge.
(DC Power Side)
DCH8: Electrical
Which Battery is the HOT BATT BUS connected to?
Its connected to the MAIN BATTERY to provide constant power to the bus even with the switches in the “OFF” positions.
DCH8: Electrical
What does this switch do?
It connects the #1 Generator to the L. MAIN Bus allowing the DC Generator to provide power to the system.
DCH8: Electrical
What does this switch do?
It connects #2 Generator to the R. Main Bus allowing the DC Generator to provide power to the system.
DCH8: Electrical
What is the Maximum Power setting that the GPU has to be set at to safe gaurd the Aircraft’s Electrical System during use?
Settings:
- 31.5 Volts*
- and-
- 1000 AMPS*
DCH8: Electrical
What does this switch do?
It controls the allowing of power to flow from the GPU to the L. & R. Main Buses
NOTE: Green Light indicates that GPU power is applied to the receptacle and is ready to supply the aircraft’s system when selected.
DCH8: Electrical
What does this switch do?
It manually connects the L. & R. Main Buses together via the main bus tie.
DCH8: Electrical
What does this switch do?
It RELEASES BBPU’s control over a bus isolation, and RE-ARMS BBPU for protection against another bus fault.
DCH8: Electrical
What is the purpose of this panel?
To allow the pilot to MONITOR all power flow going thru the DC POWER SYSTEM
NOTE:
BUS VOLTS= Volts flowing thru the buses
MAIN BATT & AUX BATT= Charge / Discharge rate of each battery
LOAD= Power source load being produced from each source (DC Power Only)
DCH8: Electrical
What is the purpose of this panel?
To allow the pilot to MONITOR the temperature of each battery during use.
NOTE: Only used for NiCad batteries to watch for thermal runaways. If using LEAD Acid batteries, this panel may still be in the aircraft but it will not be connected to any thermal probes.
