Compounding sterile from non steril ingredients. BUD is 24 hours at controlled room temp, 3 days refrigerated, 45 days frozen.

5 years keep and DEA is 2. Go with 5. Inventory records should be filed separately from all other records.

A

ISO-5 at beginning of each shift, before each batch, every 30 minutes during continuous compounds, after spills, and when surface contamination is known or expected. Counters and easily cleanable work surfaces and floors daily. Walls, Ceiling, and Shelves monthly. No cleaning when compounding is taking place.

Shall be within 12 months following the inventory date of each year and may be taken within 4 days of the specified inventory date. C1’s and 2’s shall be separate from 3,4, and 5.

3 years. Unless you have USP 795 proper documentation.

How do you take inventory?

When do prescribers need to check the CSD?

A

Either at opening or close, PIC and person taking inventory shall indicate the time it was taken and shall sign and date the inventory date and time sheet. Must document with signature within 3 working days.

When prescribing a C2 or C3 substance for the 1st time.
