- peripheral ganglia (ganglion, where synapses taking place -> one neuron communicates with another)

What does the somatic nervous system entail?

- innervates skeletal muscle
- voluntary
- efferent (outgoing from CNS, motor)
- afferent (incoming to the CNS, sensory)

- cholinergic (acetylcholine, excites other neurons)
